FENCHURCH friend and photographer Dan Medhurst was working at the Soundwave Festival in Croatia when he snapped another Fenchurch friend Mr Thing sporting his FENCHURCH Astoria Headphones. Dan did what he does best and captured the moment that MR Thing doubled up with another of our favorites, DJ Format (you can just see him in the background!) during the show. Makes us sad we weren’t there to enjoy it…
Anyone else out there seen anyone wearing our headphones? Post your pictures on our Twitter or Facebook
Mr Thing has a new single out now with Youngun and their hotly tipped album comes out soon – make sure you show them some love.

Have you been watching Shameless lately?!!

Fenchurch Family member and superstar DJ, Krafty Kuts, supplies the new podcast this month, available for all Fenchurch Fans and Members.
He also stopped in for a quick chat to give us “heads up” on the “man behind the turntables”.
He was also able to do us a mini interview so here we go:
What inspired you to get your first turn-tables?
Watching Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff and other originators. I just wanted to be part of the scene, manipulating funk & disco in search of the perfect beat.
What’s been the best venue you’ve ever played in?
‘An Evening with Krafty Kuts’ @ Matter, London. Nuff Said.
After an amazing summer, it’s still ‘non-stop’ for Krafty – whats been the highlight of the year so far?
Bestival by a mile. It was the most exquisite, extraordinary, adventurous night this year, and you can re-live it all at www.be-at.tv
The best mix you ever done?
I did a mix for Mixmag a while back called ‘Instant Party’ which was a corker and has become a bit of a collectable. But I have to say, I’m very proud of this Fenchurch mix as well as the new mix I’ve done for the 10 years of against the grain release.
Whats next for Krafty?
Look out for the brand new album that’s on it’s way, featuring many Krafty Kuts favourites plus some exciting new heads.
Krafty’s exclusive Fenchurch Mix mix is available online now. Register and download - its all free.
There’s been a huge buzz in France over the new French band “Music Is Not Fun” and we sponsored their concert at Le Transbordeur in Lyon last week.
They were filmed during their showcase at La FNAC for the major French channel France 3 , the biggest TV channel in the region.
Of course - Fenchurch represented - check out the Damon Shirt and the Spam Tee from this season’s collection.
We say a huge congratulation to Fenchurch Friend Speech Debelle for winning the 2009 Mercury Award for her debut album Speech Therapy.

It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for her over the last few weeks so we’re glad she was able to stop by the shop to do a little in-store performance for us on 3rd September.
We hooked up with Speech this summer for a music-fashion partnership - so a lot of her items she’s wearing are from Fenchurch. Glad to see you’re liking the clothes.
Here she is on BBC breakfast with Lorraine Kelly - wearing the popular Clissa knit - on sale now from our website
Speech is also the star of our AW09 campaig, wearing the Sean Sweat - yes it’s menswear but girls it can look good on us too. We’ve featured two big outdoor billboards on Seven Sisters Road, and Ladbroke Grove

Speech Debelle’s live set at the Fenchurch store on Thursday was brilliant.
We wish her all the luck for the Mercury’s today!
Dubstep legend Rusko popped by The Fenchurch store to pick up some new threads and have a chat about what he’s up to in the coming months.
He’s also supplied the new podcast - an exclusive mix now available online at Fenchurch.com.

You’ve had an amazing career to date and judging from your events calendar on Myspace, it just seems to be getting better – did you ever think would be as big as this?
Na not at all I never even thought dubstep would be doing what it is now and taking over the world!! And my brain!! Haha I just say yes to everything and I like to party too so I guess places have me back all the time!!
What was the defining moment that made you realise you were famous?
There has been a few but I’d say the first time I played Big Chill. Main tent, last day and 10,000 people all screaming ‘wake the f**k up’ when I pulled the fader down. I was like - how do all u know that!!!????!!
You come from quite a classical background so what inspired your move into Dubstep?
Well I used to produce straight dub, I play bass and saxophone and piano n stuff so I have always made songs rather than just club tracks, it was just a progression to move into dubstep and throw it all in the big melting pot together!
What do you consider the best mix you’ve ever done?
Errr probably the essential mix for radio 1, sooo many people around the world tell me how much they love it. It was recorded in 1 take in my mates kitchen trying not to let his 3 kittens get onto the decks!! There were a few hairy moments!! Other than that my Fenchurch mix was a really fun one to do I just set up my decks into the laptop took off all my clothes and just freestyled while my magic pipe was a glowin’ all night long. Then I took the 5 hours of raw audio and randomly selected a 45 minute section from a big barrel of raw sound that id had over a bain marie heating overnight. Errrrr
Where was your most favourite place to play out?
Ibiza!!!! That was soooo much fun my first ever crowdsurf it was off the chain then back to the pool for litres of sangria. Bliss!!!

What’s the next step for DJ Rusko?
I’m moving to the USA for a while to do some crazy producing.. I’ve been doing stuff with Kid Sister, Missy Elliot and Estelle recently and I’m doing a bunch of touring and promo too. I got my album OMG out of mad decent at the end of the year and a radio 1 show in September. Lots to do but I looooooove it.
See ya later babes i’ll be back for breakfast
